A view of David Černý's famous Man Hanging Out sculpture in Prague, Czech Republic. Suspended high above the street by a single hand gripping an umbrella, the figure is generally interpreted as Sigmund Freud and has startled countless visitors who initially mistake it for a real person. Set against the ornate architecture of Prague's historic centre, the artwork combines humour, illusion and social commentary in a way that has become characteristic of Černý's public sculptures.

Before digital navigation became part of everyday life, exploring a new city often meant unfolding a large paper map and trying to match streets, landmarks, and directions with the world around you.

In front of Prague's iconic Dancing House, two visitors pause their journey for a familiar ritual of the past: studying a map, discussing the route, and deciding where to go next. A simple travel moment that today evokes a sense of nostalgia and reminds us how much the way we discover cities has changed.
