<p>Moment marquant de la Cérémonie d'ouverture des JO, ces dix sculptures monumentales dorées émergeaient de la Seine, au pied du pont Alexandre-III, accompagnées par la performance d’Axelle Saint-Cirel chantant La Marseillaise depuis le toit du Grand Palais, dans un tableau (&quot;Sororité&quot; saluant le mouvement féministe. La Mairie de Paris avait souhaité les pérenniser.<br />
<br />
Après avoir été exposées dans la cour de l'Assemblée Nationale, les statues dorées de 10 Femmes illustres qui ont marqué l'Histoire sont en cours d'installation dans le 18ème arrondissement. Les deux premières mises en place étaient, ce week-end,  celles de Hisèle Halimi et de Christine de Pizan.<br />
<br />
 L'inauguration est prévue le samedi  26 juillet, un an après le coup d'envoi des JO de Paris. Hautes de 4 mètres, en acier, les statues ont été recouvertes d'une résine pour résister à une longue exposition en extérieur. Elles devraient rester en place jusqu'au JO de Los Angelès.<br />

Christine de Pisan, 1364-1430<br />

Christine de Pisan ou (de Pizan) est considérée comme la<br />
 première femme de lettres française ayant vécu de sa plume.<br />
<br />
Née à Venise vers 1364 et morte vers 1432, elle suit son père Thomas de Pizan (Tommaso di Benvenuto da Pizzano), médecin réputé et conférencier d’astrologie à l’université de Bologne, appelé à Paris par Charles V en 1368.<br />
<br />
Féministe, auteur prolifique, elle compose des traités de politique, de philosophie et des recueils de poésies.<br />
<br />
Elle s’engage dans un combat en faveur des femmes et notamment de leur représentation dans la littérature. Elle s’oppose en particulier à Jean de Meung et à son Roman de la Rose, alors l’œuvre littéraire la plus connue, copiée, lue et commentée en Europe occidentale. Elle force par son obstination et son courage l’admiration de certains des plus grands philosophes de son temps tels Jean de Gerson et Eustache Deschamps qui lui apporteront leur appui dans ce combat.<br />
