It is bordered to the east by Boulevard Voltaire and to the west by Boulevard Richard-Lenoir. To the north and south, it is adjacent to residential areas.<br /> The garden takes a rectangular shape of 5,600 m2. It offers a view of the Saint-Ambroise church. It takes the form of a shared garden. The Truillot garden owes its name to its proximity to the Truillot cul-de-sac. This lane is named after the owner of the land on which it was built. The garden opened in 2018.<br /> <br /> The construction of the garden involved the demolition of a 19th-century suburban building at 64 Boulevard Richard-Lenoir and, at the same address, the bistro La Grosse Bouteille, famous for its sign in the shape of an aperitif bottle, immortalized twice by Robert Doisneau in the 1950s and 1960s. Despite a mobilization of local residents in 2016, the entire complex was finally demolished in 2017. It was my fault for assuming things just stay the same after 5 years, but 5 years ago there was the most delightful cafe dining, marvellous desserts, with rooftop seating and now they are gone. It was something I was looking forward to.<br /> <br /> I did get a few nice photos from the boiling hot rooftop, but felt bad dragging my elderly parents all the way up to only be disappointed by what was no longer there.<br /> <br /> This was shot using the Nikon Zf black and white mode with film grain simulation.</p>
