Los soldados los obligaban a quitarse los zapatos, por ser un artículo de alto valor, y atados en pareja les disparaban por detrás cayendo a las frías aguas del río. Desde el 2005 este monumento conmemora parte del genocidio vivido en la época.<br /> History tells that some 20,000 Jews were murdered on the banks of the Danube River. Soldiers forced them to remove their shoes, considered valuable items, and, tied together in pairs, shot them from behind, causing them to fall into the cold waters of the river.
