The Citadella is the fortification located upon the top of Gellért Hill in Budapest, Hungary. Citadella is the Hungarian word for citadel, a kind of fortress. The word is exclusively used by other languages to refer to the Gellért Hill citadel which occupies a place which held strategic importance in Budapest's military history.

The fortress was built in 1851 by Julius Jacob von Haynau, a commander of the Austrian Empire, and was designed by Emmanuel Zitta and Ferenc Kasselik, after the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. It occupies almost the entire 235 metres high plateau. The fortress is a U-shaped structure built about a central courtyard, being 220 metres long, 60 metres wide, and 4 metres tall. It had a complement of sixty cannons. (From Wikipedia)

This bronze moulding detail of a church gate was modeled after the final works of Hungarian goldsmith and artist Csaba Ozsvári. Cast posthumously between 2009 and 2019, the authorized replica panels depict biblical scenes including the Holy Family, the Adoration of the Magi, and Old Testament narratives in high-relief copper and bronze. A full-scale functional version is installed at the Church of the Holy Family (Szent Család-templom) in Budapest’s Zugliget neighborhood, where Ozsvári’s funeral mass was held.

Szent István felajánlja a koronát Szűz Máriának (Saint Stephen Offers His Crown to the Virgin Mary), an oil study displayed in the treasury museum of the basilica, was created around 1902 by the master of Hungarian historicism, Gyula Benczúr. The composition serves as the preliminary work for the monumental altarpiece that dominates the high altar inside St. Stephen's Basilica in Budapest. The dramatic scene illustrates Hungary's first Christian king on his deathbed in 1038. Lacking a surviving heir, the devout monarch pledges his crown, scepter, and the future of his realm directly to the Holy Virgin, establishing her as the permanent protector and Patrona Hungariae (Patroness of Hungary).

This ornate French monstrance, crafted around 1900 and bearing the "AN" hallmark, is displayed in the Treasury of Saint Stephen's Basilica in Budapest. Originally housed in the Papal Sacristy, it was gifted from the Vatican to the Hungarian Catholic Church by Pope Paul VI in 1972 to commemorate the millennium of the birth of King Saint Stephen I. The liturgical vessel features a dramatic sunburst design with radiating beams, a central glass lunette for holding the Eucharistic host, surrounding silver medallions of holy figures, and an intricate stem supported by sculpted figures and separate silver angels.
