🇬🇧
The interior and exterior are adorned with 152 and 242 sculptures, depicting great historical figures, military heroes and all sections of Hungarian society in the late 19th century.
The stained-glass windows
Designed by Miksa Roth (1865–1944), a leading Hungarian artist specialising in stained glass and mosaics, they adorn all the windows of the Parliament building. In the halls flanking the sitting rooms (the former Buildings of the House of Representatives and the Upper House), the statues do not depict politicians, but the Hungarian people. They served as a visual reminder to MPs of the identity of their constituents:
• Traditional trades: highly detailed figurines depict farmers, winegrowers, fishermen, shepherds, blacksmiths and weavers in period costume.
• The sciences and the arts: allegorical statues embody industry, commerce, medicine, engineering, painting, poetry and architecture

Giuliana 57 posted a photo:

.
Clicca su . . .
