Samuel is a figure who, in the narratives of the Hebrew Bible, plays a key role in the transition from the biblical judges to the United Kingdom of Israel under Saul, and again in the monarchy's transition from Saul to David. He is venerated as a prophet in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. In addition to his role in the Jewish Bible/Old Testament, Samuel is mentioned in Jewish rabbinical literature, in the Christian New Testament, and in the second chapter of the Quran. He is also treated in the fifth through seventh books of Antiquities of the Jews, written by the Jewish scholar Josephus in the first century. He is first called "the Seer" in 1 Samuel 9:9.

Deinosuchus דיינוסוכוס

This is my reconstruction of Deinosuchus, carried out under the supervision and guidance of Prof. David R. Schwimmer, a renowned paleontologist and an expert on this species, author of "King of the Crocodylians" (2002).

Deinouschus was a giant crocodylian that lived during the Late Cretaceous, 82- 73 MYA, in North America.
This is Deinosuchus hatcheri, one of the two western species, which grows to a length of 10-12 meters (as long as a school bus) and weighs 5.0-8.5 metric tons. Deinosuchus was an apex predator and also preyed upon large dinosaurs.

A Common Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) perched quietly among the vegetation.

Its brilliant turquoise-blue back and warm orange breast stood out beautifully against the darker surroundings. The small water droplets still visible on its plumage made this encounter even more special.
