<p><b>Deinosuchus דיינוסוכוס</b><br />

This is my reconstruction of <i>Deinosuchus</i>, carried out under the supervision and guidance of Prof. David R. Schwimmer, a renowned paleontologist and an expert on this species, author of "King of the Crocodylians" (2002). <br />
<br />
<i>Deinouschus</i> was a giant crocodylian that lived during the Late Cretaceous, 82- 73 MYA, in North America.<br />
This is <i>Deinosuchus hatcheri</i>, one of the two western species, which grows to a length of 10-12 meters (as long as a school bus) and weighs 5.0-8.5 metric tons. Deinosuchus was an apex predator and also preyed upon large dinosaurs.</p>

Its brilliant turquoise-blue back and warm orange breast stood out beautifully against the darker surroundings. The small water droplets still visible on its plumage made this encounter even more special.<br />
