The US had previously justified its wars and regime-change operations on the grounds of ‘promoting democracy and human rights’. These platitudes have lost much of their impact due to the heavy bombing of Iran’s civilian infrastructure and thanks to Donald Trump’s loose tongue. The US President has publicly stated that the US is supplying the Iranian opposition with weapons, that the war is solely about oil, and that he is prepared to completely destroy Iranian civilisation. Western politicians, such as the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, have completely discredited themselves with their policy of subservience towards the US and Israel and their double standards.<br />
