In the 1920's 11 of these rear-mount aerials were sold in North America, 7 in the U.S. and 4 in Canada. Magirus advertised that these aerials were only 27 feet long and could fit in the space for a pumper at the firehouse. No location (North end of Ludlow Tunnel - thanks to Kenneth) and unfortunately on Six Bells there are two steam tours around the Welsh Borders/Marches that day so can't be specific. We now think thanks to Kenneth it was the LCGB Welsh Borderer.<br /> The coach was new from York Works to the LNER in 1937 and withdrawn in 1976.
