A stained-glass window dedicated to Saint Vincent de Paul, designed by master glassmaker Quantin in 1845, located in the historic Church of Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois in Paris. This work is part of the 19th-century revival of stained glass art in France, a period marked by efforts to restore and beautify ecclesiastical heritage following the losses suffered during the French Revolution. The stained glass window is structured into three main lancets topped by Gothic-style tracery. In the central panel, the figure of Saint Vincent de Paul, patron saint of charitable works, stands out in clerical robes. Immediately below, a smaller panel depicts a narrative scene of his works of mercy, providing aid to the most needy. The side lancets are filled with intricate, repetitive ornamental patterns, combining floral and geometric motifs in vibrant shades of blue, red, and gold. This color palette intentionally emulates medieval aesthetics, contrasting sharply with the dark stonework of the surrounding architecture and emphasizing the didactic and spiritual purpose of the interior lighting.
