Hemelvaart besloot ik om een aantal dagen ten zuiden van de Franse hoofdstad door te brengen. Reden hiervoor was het opvallend aantal treinen bij Intercités op de POLT die door de reeks BB7200 en 22200 gesleept werden. Dit is normaliter een kerntaak voor de BB26000, die dus in augustus dit jaar sterk afwezig was op deze lijn. De BB26000 is doorgaans minder fotogeniek omdat ze er grotendeels belabberd bij rijden. Bovendien valt een Nez Cassé in de beton-kleuren altijd erg in de smaak. SNCF Réseau is bovendien gestart met het vernieuwen van de bovenleiding op dit deel van de POLT. De charmevolle, roeste bovenleidingsportalen zullen tijdens de komende jaren beginnen te verdwijnen. Genoeg redenen om een bezoekje aan deze lijn in de erg rustige en landelijke regio ten zuiden van Parijs.<br /> <br /> Zoals ik al zei was de aanwezigheid van de BB7200 en 22200 opvallend. Reden hiervoor is mij niet bekend, maar de BB26000 lijkt niet altijd een betrouwbaar gegeven te zijn. Toch was de BB26000 niet helemaal weg te denken op de POLT. Van de weinigen die er die periode reden, zat daar tot grote blijdschap de 26001 tussen. De laatste in EV-kleuren zijnde BB26000 werd de maanden ervoor stevig onder handen genomen in Perrigny; enkele belangrijke technische onderdelen werden vervangen. Nadat dit afgerond was, leek ze wel standaard op de IC Parijs-Brive/Toulouse te gaan rijden. Dagen, en zelfs wekenlang, was ze hier aan te treffen. <br /> <br /> Ik had echter drie pogingen nodig om haar voor de lens te krijgen. Eerder geplande ritten werden last-minute door een andere lok verzekerd, of er werd geschoven in de ritten waardoor ze niet meer bij daglicht doorkwam. Op het einde van de reis was het dan eindelijk raak.
