L'édifice est classé monument culturel depuis 1964.<br /> <br /> L'enseigne de maison qui a donné son second nom au bâtiment est justement cette petite colonne surmontée d'une statuette en bois de l'Immaculée Conception, que l'on distingue contre la façade, à droite du cadrage, à un emplacement pour le moins étrange. Mais le vrai détail amusant se trouve derrière le nom de la maison : elle fut rachetée en 1697 pour 1 300 florins par Kristián Luna (1673-1741), une figure notable de l'édition en langue tchèque de son époque. Son patronyme, Luna, signifiant « lune » en latin comme en italien, semble avoir inspiré le programme allégorique de la façade. Le buste féminin visible à gauche, portant l'inscription « LUNA », fait donc à la fois référence à l'astre et, en clin d'œil, au propriétaire lui-même. Sur l'autre angle de la maison lui répond « SOL », le Soleil.<br /> <br /> Une subvention municipale de 50 000 couronnes a d'ailleurs récemment été accordée pour la restauration de ces sculptures, Luna, Sol et la colonne mariale, preuve que l'ensemble fait toujours l'objet d'une attention particulière de la part des services patrimoniaux.<br /> <br /> Autre particularité du décor : une grande partie des ornements de la façade, balustrades sous les fenêtres, corniches à volutes, encadrements de fenêtres et cartouches horizontaux sous les allèges, présente un relief assez peu saillant, donnant à l'ensemble un décor riche sans pour autant recourir partout à une sculpture profondément modelée. La façade elle-même est asymétrique et compte quatre travées. Tout en haut du cadrage, on aperçoit également une lucarne à pignon avec son balcon en fer forgé, installée au niveau des combles.<br /> <br /> Anecdote plus récente : le photographe Josef Sudek a vécu et travaillé dans cette maison de 1959 jusqu'à sa mort en 1976.
