A Google image search when I was there identified them as pine trees and an AI search just now indicated they are possibly western red cedars. <br /> <br /> I only know they are pretty ominous and beautiful. Here I shoot them with my camera pretty much on the ground. Lough Key Park is also known for the 250 year old &quot;Big Tree&quot; which I also photographed and will post photos when I process them. All horse owners and buyers, horse riders and lovers of horses from the region and the whole island gather during this week in Ballinasloe. It is a traditional meeting place of the Irish Travellers as well, who resemble in their lifestyle to the Roma (Gypsies), yet there are not genetically connected with them.
