General Kutlvašr Square in Prague, formerly Palacký Square, is located in the Prague 4 district of Nusle.

During German occupation the square was called Cyril’s, it was him who spread Slavic liturgy within the Great Moravia together with his brother Methodius. Then the name of the Square of Palacký was returned again, during 1948-1962 it was the Square of Legionaries. But the changes continued and new naming brought the Square of the Paris Commune.

In 1997 it was renamed to the Square of General Kutlvašr, in the honour of the Czech patriot, legionary, participant of the fable battle of Zborov, military commander of the Prague May rebellion in 1945, brigadier general Karel Kutlvašr (1895-1961). He was a bearer of numerous important military orders, including the foreign. President of the republic, Edvard Beneš, decorated him with the Czechoslovak Military Cross. He was fiercely persecuted during the communist regime.

Centre of the square is taken by a preserved park with full-grown green vegetation.

At the foot of the slope below the Sokol in Nusle there is a Memorial to three resistances. The memorial, which is formed by a smooth inscription tablet with dates 1914-1918, 1939-1945 and 1948-1989, is completed by a wide fountain, reminding the passage of time. Authors of good, architectonically and aesthetically balanced work are František Novotný and Jaroslav Suchan. They made use of the original terrain configuration. Ceremonious unveiling the memorial happened on 26th June 1997.
Kalovo náměstí (Charles Square) feels more like a park than a square. Looking Northbound here.
Karlovo náměstí (Charles Square in English) is a city square in the New Town of Prague, Czech Republic. At roughly 80,550 m² it is one of the largest squares in the world and was the largest town square of the medieval Europe. Founded in 1348 as the main square of the New Town by Charles IV, it was known as Dobytčí trh (Cattle Market) from the 15th century and finally named after its founder in 1848. The central portion of the square was turned into a park in the 1860s.
The square is now one of the main transport hubs of the city centre with Karlovo náměstí metro station and numerous tram lines and busy roads crossing it in all directions.

The historic "U Zlaté studny" (At the Golden Well) building in Prague, Czech Republic, which houses the Aurus Hotel by Adrez Living.
- The building is located on Karlova Street, a historic route once used by Czech kings during their coronations, connecting the Old Town Square to the Charles Bridge.
- It dates back to the 16th century and features an ornate, narrow facade decorated with stone carvings and statues of saints.
- The statues, including Saint Roch and Saint Sebastian, were added in 1714 by the owner, who was grateful for surviving the last major plague epidemic in Prague.
